The World Food Day (WFD) is celebrated annually on the 16th October 2018. The theme for 2018 WFD is a zero hunger world is possible by 2030. PELUM Kenya will join the world in commemorating the day by holding WFD celebrations at Rukwaro town, Migori County. Alongside the theme, PELUM Kenya through its Green Action Week (GAW) campaigns will be promoting a culture of sharing and learning for seed sovereignty. Seed sovereignty is important aspect in promoting agro-ecology and enhancing a culture of self sustaining communities. GAW is part of a global campaign in which organizations promote a similar theme towards the peak of the WFD. PELUM Kenya has participated in GAW since 2013
