PELUM Kenya and ADS Eastern participated in the launch of the “Greening a village” project in Kinyuani Village on 6th August 2021. The launch was graced by Makueni County Government officials and Rt. Rev. Joseph Kanuku Bishop Emeritus.
During the launch, the importance of integrating agroforestry in farms and urged the community to plant and grow trees. Rosinah Mbenya, Country coordinator PELUM Kenya indicated that growing trees was essential in promoting soil health and contributing. The project has established a tree nursery that aims at ensuring accessibility of tree seedlings to community members.
